Professional organizations are urging their members to use empirically supported treatments. These are the treatments which research has shown to work. It is the mission of NYICBT to train practitioners in the use of empirically supported treatments. By doing so, our participants are ensured that what they have learned is most likely to help their clients.

NYICBT solicits feedback from all mental health professionals who take our distance learning courses. We use this feedback to improve existing courses and design new courses. The specific relationship between the learning needs of each profession and any particular educational offering can be discussed with a representative of NYICBT who can be contacted via email or by phone.
