Some Things To Think About

CONTINUING EDUCATION WORKSHOPS

NYICBT is approved by the National Board of Certified Counselors to be an Approved Continuing Education Provider.

NYICBT will be offering a series of seminars and workshops in Brooklyn designed to help mental health professionals obtain and/or keep positions in hospitals and clinics. The new health care delivery systems will require evidence-based, efficient psychological treatments. We plan to start these presentations soon.

Mission Statement
NYI/CBT is dedicated to providing mental health professionals and students with excellent training in the most effective treatments available today for psychological and behavioral disorders, interpersonal difficulties, and substance abuse. We strive to impart to them a thorough knowledge of psychotherapy techniques and the social and scientific psychological factors, which created them. While we emphasize training and treatments which lead to behavioral change, we consider client dignity and improved human relationships to be equally important parts of our training.

We are specifically committed to training the mental health professional in the cognitive, behavioral, and related psychotherapies and we strive to offer the best consultation to agencies in the use of these therapies.

We are devoted to the training of people entering one of New York State's four new mental health professions. We intend to offer an excellent program to help them obtain a license.

NYI/CBT has a policy of non-discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national or ethnic origin in admissions, use of facilities or exercise of student privileges, faculty, or administrative staff, and scholarship or loan programs.

NYICBT conducts all of its live training in facilities compliant with the Americans with Disability Act (ADA). We will make special arrangements for all participants who require physical, visual, or auditory assistance, including sign language. Please call 718-521-6375 in advance of the presentation to ensure proper accommodations.

All complaints should be made to the NYI/CBT office, addressed to Howard Eisman, Executive Director. Call 718-521-6375 or e-mail: howardeisman@verizon.net. Our staff will attend to the matter promptly.
